Our story

It all started on one rainy afternoon.

We met in 2019 in a tiny bookshop in Kraków, when we both reached for the last copy of the same book. It ended with coffee, then with trips together, and finally with a proposal by the Vistula — just a few kilometres from where we’ll say “I do”.

Very good dog

Sunday mornings, as usual — with Pierogi supervising.

01

Our first date lasted nine hours.

The café quietly stacked the chairs around us. We only noticed when they turned the lights off.

02

William’s sourdough starter is older than us.

Her name is Dolores. She is coming to the wedding (as bread).

03

14 countries, 14 arguments about directions.

Maria was right in nine of them. William would like it noted that he was right in five.

04

The ring was hidden in that book.

The same title we both reached for in 2019. William bought a second copy just to hollow it out.

05

Maria can’t whistle. William can’t wink.

Together we are one fully functioning person at a sports game.

06

Midnight karaoke is non-negotiable.

We are both terrible at it. Please bring your enthusiasm, not your talent.

Schedule

Saturday, September 12

The ceremony will take place in the garden under the old linden trees. If it rains, we’ll simply move into the orangery — no changes needed on your side.

14:30

Guests arrive

Lavender lemonade and chilled bubbles in the courtyard.

15:00

Ceremony

Civil ceremony in the linden garden. Please be on time.

16:00

Toasts & wishes

Champagne, canapés and photos by the fountain.

17:30

Dinner under the lindens

One long table and a seasonal menu made with local produce.

20:30

First dance

Then the dance floor in the orangery, until sunrise.

00:00

Cake & bonfire

A sweet midnight with blankets and hot chocolate in the orchard.

Venue

Linden Manor

A 19th-century manor house surrounded by a century-old linden park and an orchard, ten minutes from the market square in Kazimierz Dolny. Ceremony in the garden, dinner under the trees, dancing in the glass orangery.

Questions

Good to know

Didn’t find your answer? Write to us at maria.william@wedding.com

Can I bring a plus-one?

Yes, if your invitation says “and guest”. Please add their name in the RSVP form.

How do I book a room at the manor?

Choose “Yes, at the manor” in the RSVP form and we’ll hold a room for you. Rooms are allocated in the order replies arrive.

What does “garden formal” mean?

Think summer suits and light dresses — elegant, but comfortable enough for grass and dancing. Block heels and flats are perfect.

Can we take photos during the ceremony?

We’d love an unplugged ceremony — our photographer has it covered. Once we’ve said “I do”, snap away and share everything.

What time does the party end?

Officially at 2:00 am, when the first shuttle heads back. The bonfire usually has other ideas.
